COMPLETE BEGINNER

The best place to learn how to surf for complete beginners is definitely Weligama. It is a beach break, suitable also for people who are afraid of the water. The water is not deep, underneath is sand. It is just 15 minutes ride by tuk tuk from Midigama. We will start with some basics on the beach and then we go to the ocean to start catching your first waves, white water in the beginning. Once you master the pop up and learn how to stand on a green wave and ride the board (approx.3 - 4 session in Weligama), we will continue in Midigama.

BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE

You already started with surfing a while ago but still feel insecure about timing, how to read the waves and proper technique. Midigama`s waves are great and diverse to start perfecting all of that.

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED (SURF GUIDING)

​

You already know how to surf and wanna see some cool new surf spots? Shaggy will guide you through many surf break that are in the neighbourhood. He will arrange you transportation and surf rental if you want to explore also more distant spots on the South Coast - and there are plenty!

The price for beginner`s lesson (1 - 1.5 h) is €30 ($30), board and transport included. The price for intermediate, advanced lesson and surf guiding on the reef is €40 ($40).
